LIP-Fillers and POUTS are in, with people wanting fuller lips.

Renaissance Skin Care FillersBut when plumping your pout with lip liner won’t do, we have all the info you need to know before getting a lip augmentation.

So what are they?

A trained cosmetic injector will inject dermal filler to plum up your lips.

These types of dermal fillers are sometimes called “hyaluronic acid fillers.”

It is a substance found naturally in the body. It is used to plump up wrinkles and cheeks too.

How long do they last?

The HA fillers tend to last between 9 and 12 months, however if you’re thinner you metabolize faster and the solution gets broken down faster so they don’t last as long. Softly, softly and allow them to settle is our recommendation – a little goes a long way.

How long does the procedure last?

It takes around 15-20 minutes in total.

Is it sore?

It isn’t as sore as the horror stories will have you believe.

Juvederm contains a local anaesthetic that starts working immediately so it definitely eases in discomfort as things go on. People have described the sensation as though someone is pinching your lip. Best of all, it takes only minutes, so you’re all done before you even know it.

When do you see the results?

Immediately. Of course there is a small degree of swelling at first but after 24 hours your lips will be settled and how they will be for the next few months.

The numbing wears off in about 15 mins and you’re free to go about your day.

What if you don’t like them?

As the filler is a natural occurring substance, it will be broken down over a period of months. However, if you want them gone immediately there is another injection you can get that dissolves the filler within five minutes and reverses its effects.
